Media_Asset_Creations_ Week 1_Topic #1
Recently when I was interviewing one of my APS’ participants inside Second Life we faced some problems. First, when he logged in to Second Life his avatar’s appearance looked like a cloud so we tried to reboot the avatar’s textures and also to log back in several times but we couldn’t solve anything. We continued with the interview because I thought it was important to report those kinds of problems in my ARP. But when I asked him the first question his voice started breaking up a lot so he began to feel a little frustrated and upset. After all that I just wanted to calm the participant’s frustration and hassle so we could continue with the interview. I then decided that it was time to change our plans and use another technology tool which the participant could feel more familiar and comfortable to use. So we moved on and used Skype instead.
