Hi!
First of all, I want to let you to know about the topic of my Action Research project which is:
What if I do an inductive session for a group of trainers inside Second Life? Are they going to be comfortable with the new technology? Are they going to use it as an immersive educational environment and a delivery method for their courses?
The reason I have chosen these 5 RSS feeds is because I think that they will enrich my knowledge and my view about the use of Virtual Worlds as immersive educational environments.
It is also important to learn about how and when 3D virtual worlds can be used as an effective platform and a delivery method to work in collaborative way which can also promote collective action.
For example:
1. Virtual Worlds News, which link is Virtual Worlds News: Education feeds information about all the news around 3D virtual Worlds and also provides me with information about different types of conferences that are going to take place in the near future.
If you couldn't assist to the roundtable you are able to read the transcripts which can be considered like archives of the sessions. This is a link that provides the transcript of the roundtable that took place in June 22, 2010: Virtual Worlds Education Roundtable June 22, 2010
4. Another great site to follow is Maxping which link is http://maxping.org/ It is a great site to have continuos refresher content about the use of 3D Virtual Worlds. They have really great articles.
5. Well... this site is amazing! The name is metanomicas and its link is : Exploring the serious uses of virtual worlds | Metanomics.
